SEEDS OF TRUST
COMMUNITY PARTNERSHIPS
Seeds of Wisdom (formerly Sacred Fire Foundation) intends to amplify the impact of its funding program by developing significant collaborations between the Community Partners base, from a peer-to peer approach. Partners represent diverse cultures and have immense knowledge but because they live in remote areas, lack financial resources to attend conferences or have access to resources, they often work in isolation. We also understand that Indigenous communities across the globe face similar challenges in their specific contexts. The Seeds of Trust Program is looking for organic ways to promote exchanges and collaborations amongst our partners, to promote knowledge-sharing and peer-to-peer learning.
PROGRAM OBJECTIVES:
1. To create and foster reciprocal relationships and communications via knowledge sharing and the integration of a collaborative network
2. To build capacity through promoting peer-to-peer training and technical assistance
3. To leverage the minimal funds (less than 1.5% of all philanthropic giving globally) available for Indigenous Peoples
4. To create solidarity amongst Indigenous Peoples around the world
5. To incubate new projects and collaborative initiatives
6. Multi-year funding (2 years)
